Cirko Vertigo Foundation is an international creation and production centre, a professional and university training centre (3-year degree equivalent in DAMS) in the field of circus arts and residence for young artists that has been active for 20 years and is based in Grugliasco, Piedmont.

The degree course, the first in Italy in Contemporary Circus, and the training for contemporary circus artist, co-financed by the European Social Fund, are the main activities of the Fondazione and employs a staff of international teachers.

Located in a cultural park, the Fondazione Cirko Vertigo is also a place for leisure training, masterclasses, continuous training, a multidisciplinary season, and the International festival Sul Filo del Circo.

Furthermore, it encourages research and creation, producing and presenting performances, promoting training for circus trainers in collaboration with the cities of Grugliasco and Turin, the region of Piemonte, the province of Turin and banking foundations.

Since 2015, the Fondazione has been a creative center for artistic residences thanks to funding from the Piedmont Region and the Ministry of Culture. Every year, we host 10 to 20 companies on residencies lasting a minimum of 15 days based on a call for participation published on our website.

The training project is supported, as well as by the MIC - Ministry of Culture, by the Piedmont Region, the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, the CRT Foundation and the City of Grugliasco, and is realised with the collaboration of the blucinQue Nice Production Centre, the DAMS of Turin and the City of Turin.
