CircArtive School

CircArtive School is among the 3 circus schools in Germany that confer a government-recognized degree in the field. Its objective is to nurture students' creativity through circus arts.

Established in 2015, CircArtive School is located in the midst of a stunning forest landscape in the southwestern part of Germany. Apart from the resident teachers, the school invites a new guest teacher each week to provide students with diverse and technically sound training.

The 3-year program has two parts that complement each other. The first year emphasizes building a robust physique and laying the groundwork for the different circus discipline. In the second and third years, students specialize in two disciplines and continue to refine their technical and artistic skills. The curriculum aims to prepare students for a successful career in circus, either as professionals or by pursuing higher education in the field.

CircArtive School prioritizes sustainable and healthy circus practices
and collaborates with healthcare professionals and specialists.

Training offered

• Professional training: general phase (1 year, 960h) and specialisation phase (2 years, 1920h).
• Studio residency. Duration variable according to project.

Pre-requisite

Excellent physical health, acrobatic skills, dance skills, acting skills, artistic motivation. The application form for the professional training is available on the Website of CircArtive School.
