AirCraft Circus Academy

Preparatory school

Founded in 2002 // FEDEC member since 2023

AirCraft Circus Academy’s mission is to make circus accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and we do this by providing a wide variety of circus classes, courses, and workshops – at a variety of different price points.

We have two large training studios, with multiple rigging options - as well as a smaller mirrrored fitness studio. We regularly house studio hires from across the circus sector - who may be working on research and development projects, filming and photography projects, mocap projects, auditions and castings, concept work, general rehearsals, and much more.

We are proud to run two in-house circus festivals each year, providing a platform for our students to showcase their circus skills – these festivals showcase students from across our programmes, as well as professional performers who utilise AirTime training, and our ACA trainers.

We are a family run business, and are a not for profit organisation.

You can find out all about the history of our school here.

Training offered

Full Time Course in Circus Arts (4-month professional development programme), Youth Circus Classes, Adult Circus Classes, Professional Practice Time (AirTime), Professional Development Workshops, Private Training, SEND Workshops and Courses.

Admission process

It depends on the class being taken :

  • Students applying for our professional development program submit a CV and covering letter and are then invited to an informal interview to discuss suitability for the course and next steps.
  • Students looking to take part in our recreational programmes can simply book a space on our website, in person, or over the phone. Should any issues surrounding student participation arise in classes, these are dealt with on a case by case basis.
