European Solidarity Corps Programme

CirKusKus is looking for two European Solidarity Corps volunteers to join their circus school in Bratislava (SVK) for the 2025-2026 academic year. Apply for this unique experience before April 13th!

About the training programme:

As part of the European Solidarity Corps Programme, the CirKusKus school will welcome two volunteers in Bratislava (SVK), from 11 September 2025 to 31 August 2026.

Both volunteers will receive an initiation to circus pedagogy at the begining of their training. They will have the occasion to work closely with children during the weekly multi-circus lessons and the summer camp.

Then, one volunteer will work specifically on community building: it includes organising events and workshops, managing social media communication, and developing graphic design content.

The other volunteer will focus on artistic development, by serving as assistant teacher during circus courses. They will also have the opportunity to develop their own circus act, and to join existing shows that are currently touring. 

CirKusKus will also provide language classes, regular evaluation meetings and coaching and mentoring sessions to help the volunteers develop their artistic project. The volunteers should receive the Youthpass certificate at the end of the programme.

Participant's profile:

• You have a clear interest in contemporary circus and youth work.
• You can express yourself in English and/or Slovak.
• You must be between 18 and 30 years old.
• You must be an EU citizen coming from one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

Accomodation, food & travel:

• CirKusKus (CKK) will provide an adequate place to live - a private furnished room in a dormitory (shared bathroom and kitchen) in the community center Nová Cvernovka, where CKK's office is also located. 
• Bratislavské dobrovoľnícke centrum (BDC) is responsible for and provides the volunteer with financial contribution for pocket money, food, local transport, travel arrangements to and from Bratislava within a standard of living in the hosting country.
• CKK will provide training and office space within Bratislava reachable by public transport.
