Are you passionate about leading in arts education?

The National Institute of Circus Arts is seeking a visionary leader to guide our accredited world-class training and education at Australia’s Centre of Excellence in contemporary circus arts.⁠

This is a unique opportunity to guide the next generation of circus performers while working with a dynamic and diverse team.⁠

Main tasks:

  • Teaching high level circus skills in the Bachelor of Circus Arts.
  • Leading a team of education professionals to plan, deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high-quality education and training programs in Circus Arts.
  • Establish and maintain national and international partnerships with industry and other circus training providers.
  • Engage with highly successful international and national guest circus artists and/or trainers.
  • Implementing industry best practice and applying current learning technologies and contemporary learning pedagogies.

Requirements:

  • A relevant graduate qualification (post-grad preferable) and/or national/international years of circus experience.
  • A recognised Diploma of Education or teacher training qualification.
  • A current "Working With Children" Card.

Working conditions:

  • Permanent Full-time position
  • Salary: $110,000 AUD
  • On-site work at 39-59 Green Street, Prahran, Melbourne, Australia
