Part-time teacher of circus disciplines: Tightrope walking, aerial disciplines and flexibility (versatile profile appreciated)

The École de cirque de Québec is currently looking for teachers of aerial circus disciplines, high wire and flexibility for the advanced training program (DEC-DEE, as well as Cirque-Études Secondaires) starting in fall 2025.

We're looking for a teacher able to teach several aerial circus disciplines, wire and flexibility, but knowledge of other disciplines is also desirable. Teaching could be with small groups or in the context of individual classes in these professionalization programs.

Main tasks

  • Plan courses according to objectives
  • Support each student in his or her training process
  • Evaluate the achievement of objectives at each session and communicate with students to promote their autonomy and development.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders in the higher education sector

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of the various techniques and exercises leading to professional mastery of disciplines
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate
  • 1 year of teaching experience
  • Fluency in spoken and written French. Knowledge of English is an asset.
  • NCCP, ACS or circus teaching certification an asset

Working conditions

  • Permanent position
  • 30 hours/week
  • 2 weeks paid vacation/year
  • Salary: $33.50/hr
  • Group insurance after 3 months
  • On-site work at 750, 2nd avenue Québec, Qc, G1L 3B7
